Meet Finn

Meet Finn, a lovable chocolate Labrador who became part of his family in April 2023. Full of personality and charm, Finn quickly stole the hearts of everyone around him. But in June 2025, his world turned upside down.

After being sprayed by a skunk, Finn began having trouble breathing. Initially thought to be irritation from the spray, his condition worsened over the next few days. A vet visit on June 13th led to a pneumonia diagnosis. Despite starting medication, Finn’s condition declined, prompting an emergency hospital visit on June 22nd. There, a large mass was found in his chest and bloodwork revealed dangerously high calcium levels—signs pointing to cancer.

After further testing, Finn was diagnosed with lymphoma. He immediately started chemotherapy and spent five days in the hospital while his kidney function and calcium levels were stabilized. During that time, his fur-mama visited daily, bringing his favorite treats—filet mignon, watermelon, ice—and comforting him on a mattress topper they laid out on the hospital floor. Despite the stress, those visits became cherished memories.

Finn returned home on June 29th, and slowly, his playful spirit re-emerged. Friends, neighbors, and fellow pups welcomed him back with love and joy.

Today, Finn continues his chemotherapy and is making progress with the support of a devoted care team. He’s surrounded by love, pup cups, and daily adventures.

Finn’s journey hasn’t been easy, but he faces each day with resilience, love, and a wagging tail.
