Meet Lucky, an 8 year-old Golden Retriever. Lucky was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor that requires surgery. A mast cell tumor (MCT) is a type of malignant (cancerous) tumor consisting of mast cells. Lucky’s pawrents lost Milo (Lucky’s sibling) earlier this year to cancer, so receiving this diagnosis was extra heart-breaking. With the rising costs of veterinary care, Lucky’s pawrents began to question how they could afford the surgery. That’s when they saw The Izzie Fund on Pittsburgh Today Live! After completing the application process, Lucky is now set to receive his surgery and we are honored to help this pup in need.
Here’s what Lucky’s Pawrents have to say about Lucky: “Where should I start… He loves his stuffies … not a fan of a ball at all!!! He loves to swim, go for walks and car rides and best of all he loves, loves, loves to have his belly rubbed! He’s a picky eater, especially when it comes to snacks but likes milk bones and beggin’ strips!! He loves all people especially our grandson Levi aka Bubba!”

Since having his mast cell tumor removed, Lucky has doing wonderful! He enjoys going for car rides and long walks. Lucky’s favorite things are belly rubs and his stuffies.
Lucky’s family said it is like having a young boy again!! They are so thankful for The Izzie Fund and all who support our cause.
