Luka came into his family’s life as a 12-week-old puppy and quickly became a beloved companion with an energetic, playful spirit. He loved running in the yard, playing fetch, and making friends with the neighborhood dogs.
When Luka began limping, his family initially hoped it was a minor injury. But as his condition worsened, X-rays revealed Legg-Calvé-Perthes Disease, a painful congenital condition that required specialized orthopedic surgery. Without treatment, Luka would continue to live in pain and lose mobility.
The only option to restore his quality of life was a femoral head and neck ostectomy (FHO) surgery, but the procedure came with a high price tag.
